Husqvarna free-motion quilting foot

SKU: ACCU_1935

Code 413320245

The free-motion quilting foot is designed to give you greater control when free-motion quilting.

The wide base provides a good contact surface with the fabric and gives you better control over your stitching.

The transparent base offers 360° visibility.

The vertical, horizontal and circular markings on the foot make it easy to follow a continuous quilting pattern or a design on the fabric.

Sew straight lines or follow patterns with rounded edges in any direction.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Completely loosen the presser foot holder screw and remove the holder. Attach the free-motion quilting foot to the presser bar and secure it with the screw.
  • Thread the machine.
  •  Select a straight stitch.
  • Set your HUSQVARNA VIKING® sewing machine to free-motion mode. The feed dogs are lowered automatically. Note: when the feed dogs are lowered, the machine no longer feeds the fabric. You must move the fabric yourself.
  • Bring the bobbin thread up by taking one stitch. Hold both threads and sew a few stitches in place to start.
  • Maintain an even speed and move the fabric with a steady motion. By moving the fabric, you control the stitch length.
  • Sew around the quilt motif, applique or design on the fabric, keeping an even distance to outline the shape.
  • Sew a second line, keeping an even distance from the first. Use the red markings on the presser foot as a guide to maintain an even spacing.
  • Repeat as many times as needed to create the effect
