Place the fabric to be gathered under the presser foot with the right side facing up.
Place the fabric to which the ruffle will be applied in the groove of the foot, facing down.
Sew while guiding the lower fabric without holding it back.
Keep the upper fabric in the groove, moving it just enough and evenly.
