It is particularly suitable for patchwork projects with 6 mm (1/4 inch) or 3 mm (1/8 inch) seam allowances.

Patchwork foot #57 is also extremely helpful for projects that require perfectly straight seams.

The guide is placed directly on the fabric edge or on the seam line.
