Rectangular feed system – JUKI has adopted the industrial rectangular feed system for its domestic sewing machines as well. The rectangular motion system produces high-quality stitches on any type of fabric. It sews a flat seam even on denim folded into three layers; it feeds thick fabrics evenly without effort; the feed dogs stay in contact with the fabric longer for a more reliable seam; it sews fine fabrics without puckering, even with lightweight cotton; it sews terry towels; it feeds difficult fabrics smoothly.

Independent bobbin winder: to prepare the bobbin, wind the thread around the bobbin a couple of times and place it in the guide. You can wind the bobbin at any time.

Quick bobbin threading system, automatic needle threader: just place the thread in the thread guide and lower the lever. The needle is threaded automatically using only one hand.

Straight-stitch needle plate: simply slide the front lever to switch to the single-needle hole! This allows you to sew the finest fabrics with optimal needle penetration. The single-needle plate prevents the fabric from being pushed into the needle hole. It sews with precision and perfection thanks to the free movement. Sew with complete peace of mind, because when the single-needle function is activated, only straight-stitch patterns can be selected.

The floating function prevents uneven seams: by pressing the “float” button, you can sew with the presser foot slightly raised. Raising the presser foot with the floating function lets you sew fabrics without squashing the layers, avoiding irregular seams. The presser foot height can be increased by 0.1 mm, allowing fine adjustment between the feed dogs and the foot according to the type of material.

Easily create beautiful buttonholes thanks to the combination of Juki’s industrial background and modern technology: use the sensor buttonhole system for optimal feeding on any fabric. You’ll love making one-step buttonholes, as the sensor measures and sews both the right and left sides evenly. It works automatically and in the optimal sequence for a perfectly finished buttonhole. The buttonhole foot includes a clamping plate: the fabric is held between the foot and the plate to keep it firmly in place; 16 types of buttonholes are available for every need; adjustable cutting width, you can now adjust the cutting width in 3 different ways.

 For maximum versatility, Juki now offers several functions that can be controlled via the foot switch. By pressing the back of the pedal you can cut the thread, raise the presser foot, reverse stitch, and sew a single stitch. This lets you sew easily without using special hand controls.

Low speed function: by holding down the needle up/down button, you can sew slowly and make perfect 90° corners.

Convenient knee lifter: Using the handy knee lifter, which lets you raise and lower the presser foot hands-free, you can lift the foot up to 12 mm. When the foot is fully raised, you can switch from automatic (button) to manual (knee lifter) operation.

 Lock stitch. For a lock stitch at the beginning and end of the seam, you can select two types: “reverse stitch” or “lock stitch”. If you press the lock-stitch button while sewing a pattern, the machine stops after completing one pattern repeat.

Stitch adjustment dial: use the simple dial to adjust stitch width and length. The dial also allows for fine adjustments when sewing zigzag. Direct stitch selection: you can select your most frequently used stitches, such as straight stitch, cover stitch and zigzag, directly on the dial.

Stitch length: change the stitch length without altering stitch density. Stitch patterns: you can sew decorative designs using stitch patterns. You can also combine decorative patterns and letters. Lace patterns: create lace by sewing several stitch patterns in parallel. Use combinations of stitch patterns to create lace and braids.

Free-motion sewing: flip the switch and lower the feed dogs. Enjoy both straight stitch and zigzag in free-motion mode. Adjust the presser foot height to move the fabric easily. Enjoy the freedom of free-motion sewing.

Letter patterns: the sewing machine includes four types of alphanumeric fonts. You can store up to ten stitch patterns such as names and initials. Sewing corners or adding appliqués: the stitch width can be adjusted gradually for an accurate finish even at corners or at the beginning and end of a seam. By adjusting stitch width and length you can easily control the corners of your design.

Pivoting presser foot function: when you stop sewing, the needle stops in the down position and the presser foot automatically raises to allow you to move the fabric. This function makes it easy to sew corners. When you start sewing again, the presser foot automatically lowers to continue smooth stitching.

Setting to raise the presser foot after thread cutting Since the presser foot automatically lifts after the thread is cut, you can remove the fabric quickly. Adjustable stitch speed for start / reverse: you can set the starting and reverse speed in three steps: fast, normal or slow.
