The Singer coverstitch machine is ideal for stretch fabrics such as knitwear, jersey, and lycra, and can also be used with heavy fabrics such as denim.
It looks like an overlocker and a sewing machine at the same time, but it is a fantastic coverstitch machine that makes finishing difficult garments made in jersey and lycra easier, with results beyond all expectations.
The 2-needle coverstitch can be made either narrow for very delicate garments or wide for sportswear, while the triple coverstitch made with 3 needles and three upper threads is highly suitable for sewing underwear such as corsetry and for decorative seams.
The Singer 14T9t0C machine also makes the chain stitch, a special seam found on garments made with industrial machines, very durable and more stretchable than a straight stitch.
