At the heart of the Bernina 7 Series is a newly designed centrally positioned drive, which allows the Bernina hook to operate smoothly and exceptionally quietly.

The Bernina hook stitches high-precision stitches up to 9 mm wide at speeds of up to 1,000 stitches per minute. The bobbin holds up to 70% more thread than standard bobbins, allowing even longer sewing without interruptions.

Extra-long free arm for big ideas

The Bernina 7 Series models feature an extra-large free arm that is particularly stable and leaves a 25.4 cm space. to the right of the needle. Bernina self-regulating tension

The self-regulating thread tension ensures the ideal thread tension while sewing to guarantee perfect stitch quality on both sides of the fabric. Once the tension has been set according to the thread and fabric used, Bernina self-regulating tension will continuously check the thread tension, adjusting it automatically where necessary. Bernina self-regulating tension ensures the best sewing and embroidery results without the need to press any buttons.

The Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR)

The Bernina 790 are both equipped with the BSR function. The BSR foot assists with free-motion sewing and quilting in straight stitch or zigzag, ensuring consistently even stitches even at different sewing speeds. Beginners quickly gain confidence with the BSR, while experienced quilters see it as extra reassurance. The BSR foot is included as standard accessories with the B 790.

Bernina Dual Feed

The innovative Bernina Dual Feed can even feed the most difficult materials, ensuring exceptional fabric feeding and excellent visibility while sewing. Easy to engage when needed, Bernina Dual Feed can be easily disengaged when it is no longer required.

Semi-automatic needle threader

The Bernina 790 takes care of many operations on its own. The presser foot lowers automatically at the start of sewing. The thread is threaded semi-automatically and cut at the end of sewing or each time the color changes during embroidery. In addition, the practical extension table, which enlarges the sewing area even further, is included as standard accessories.
